From our very first meeting, I knew Britany & Rashard would be a great couple to photograph. We were initially introduced by Britany’s aunt, Robbin, who is my ministry assistant at Triumph Church. From the beginning, we connected. I think we talked more about shopping and our relationship similarities than we did photography. Their love for each other was always on display. Photographing Britany & Rashard’s wedding was great, but getting to know the two of them personally was even better.
Both the bride and groom got dressed at The Hyatt Place in Livonia. They opted to keep it traditional and not see each other prior to walking down the aisle, so we bounced back and forth between floors to photograph them getting ready.
Once she was dressed, mom gets a glimpse of her little girl in her wedding gown. All grown up, and about to become Mrs. Haynesworth.
The ceremony took place at Greater New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, MI and was officiated by Britany & Rashard’s Pastor, Welton Smith IV of New Life Family Church.
Their wedding day was one of the warmest days of this summer, but they made 100 degrees look like a cool spring afternoon. We photographed the bride and groom in the Historic Boston Edison neighborhood in Detroit.
The reception was held at the beautiful Laurel Manor in Livonia, and it didn’t take long for the party to get started!
Thank you both for letting us capture your day! Congratulations!
